🧼 The Six Pillars of Wudu (Ablution)
Wudu is a sacred cleansing ritual performed before prayer in Islam. These six steps are mandatory and must be done in order for the purification to be valid:
- Intention (Niyyah)
A sincere intention in the heart to perform wudu for the sake of Allah. - Washing the Face
From the hairline to the chin, and ear to ear—water must touch the entire face. - Washing Both Arms up to the Elbows
Start from the fingertips and include the elbows, making sure to clean between the fingers. - Wiping the Entire Head
Use wet hands to gently wipe over the whole head. - Washing Both Feet up to the Ankles
Begin from the toes and include the ankles, cleaning between the toes. - Sequence (Tartib)
All steps must be performed in the correct order, from intention to washing the feet.
